# Serein

> Serein is a free, native macOS browser for coding agents. It is an agentic harness for the browser: it has no agent of its own. It runs the agent command-line tools that are already on a Mac (Claude Code, Codex and others) in visible browser tabs. The user can watch, take over or stop each task, and an agent gets only the access that the user grants.

Serein needs macOS 14 or later. It uses each agent tool's own sign-in, so it needs no API keys. The download is at https://serein.pro/#download. The current version, size, processor type and SHA-256 of the build are in https://serein.pro/release.json.
